As mentioned, I’m playing with zentangles and other sketching this month. The last piece I posted is the type of work that comes easily to me at the moment: procedural and forgiving.
Tonight I tried something completely different: a panda stack, based on the memory of someone else’s sketch I love.
It didn’t turn out well.
Terrible lighting aside, I’m seeing a lot to learn from in this picture. There’s also one big thing to be proud of: my choice to share this photo with you so that in six months, I’ll have a ‘before’ shot of my drawing skills to show how far I’ve come.
